SkyHoglet Depending on where you live this manager's behavior may be illegal. I'd consult a labor lawyer and your local labor authorities and document any and all communication!

Short-Whole... OP I'm in Florida and I know managers have power to fire employees whenever they feel like it for no reason.

alexthealex There is a difference between being fired for 'no reason' and being fired for an illegitimate reason, even in an at-will state. If you're fired and can prove that there was a reason and that reason was

a reason and that reason was illegitimate, you can be at least compensated with unemployment. Many years ago I had a boss in TN hanging a large raise over my head for several months, all the while increasing my job

JR0359 This is the advice you should take. Many states have on call requirements & that notice says you're on call whether your boss understands that or not. Turn them in.

G...SlingingRaccoonll So are you one of the 3 who lost shifts, or the one who got all the hours? Anyway, this only happens because people let it. We learn nothing from history, even when we are constantly repeating it.

czechmate90 HR advice: Take a photo and send it to your HR team/ corporate, and let them know that your manager is requiring people to be on call for shifts and ask if there will be a shift differential moving
